Clean Up Your Temporary Internet Files

Clearing the temp files is one task that you can do to keep your computer running efficiently.

The Disk Cleanup tool helps you free up space on your hard disk by searching your disk for files that you can safely delete. You can choose to delete some or all of the files. To begin, do these four simple steps:

1. Click Start, click All Programs, look for Accessories, move over from there to System Tools, then move over and click Disk Cleanup.

(Or you can Click Start, then click Run. Type in cleanmgr and click OK.)

2. Select the drive-letter for the current Windows installation and then click OK.

3. Select Temporary Internet Files and any others you wish to cleanup, click OK.

4. Click Yes to confirm deletion.

There is a program I recommend called CCleaner that pretty much does a better job than disk cleanup in my opinion and it has more features as well. You can get this software absolutely free. It's very easy to use. Try it now.
